Decorative Stone and Grating Collections

Jonite, a stonework manufacturer from Singapore, asked us to design their new range of stone grates and breeze blocks. Known for their sustainable approach and modern designs, Jonite is rethinking how stone can shape urban spaces. Together, we created six new patterns and styles, now available across their full product line.

The Tessera Collection has been honored with the iF Design Award and the Red Dot Design Award. What makes this achievement particularly remarkable is that this was our Singapore-based partner’s very first time entering design competitions, and they immediately stood out among top-tier international competition.

The Molecules breeze blocks bring timeless style and structure to landscapes, hardscapes, and interiors. Easy to install like any modern breeze block and enhanced with built-in self-cleaning technology, they are ideal for use as feature walls or ventilation elements. This collection includes three distinct block designs, enabling the creation of vivid patterns, gentle rhythms, or straightforward arrangements.

Intricate patterns, calligraphic motifs, and timeless geometry — we’ve created a seamless design that shifts in density, echoing the artistry that has shaped Islamic culture for centuries.

From trench grates to architectural breeze blocks, the Tessera collection brings versatility and character, offering designers and architects a rich palette of patterns to elevate any project with a distinctive style.

The botanically inspired Breeze collection is available for pool and tree grates.

Furthermore, we have brought the Tidal, Zen, Arcadia, and Eden collections to life. In total, these six collections developed by RSW offer a gradient from minimalistic to decorative finely detailed architectural elements, that offer a wide range to pick from to add a distinctive touch to any project.

We enjoy working with clients who consistently integrate environmental aspects into their products. According to Jonite, all of its decorative grates, covers and blocks are made from at least 95% natural aggregates and at least 30% recycled materials.

Compared to conventional solutions, they require around 80% less steel. The products are certified by the Singapore Green Building Council with its highest rating. In production, Jonite also uses a solvent recycler, which reduces waste and hazardous emissions.

Jonite has also significantly reduced the quartz content of its material blend: according to the company, its engineered stone grating products now contain less than 1% silica. This reduces exposure to harmful silica dust during processing.
